I never take selfies. But for the first time today I wanted to!

Sunny Colorado had it’s official introduction to spring today and heated up to 70 degrees!! It was a perfect day to pack up my books, my Bible, and my camera, and walk to the park for a date with God!

I just recently got out of a serious two-year relationship and this past week has been an emotional roller-coaster. God has been asking me all week to escape into Him, but unfortunately I’ve been trying to fill my time with other things to avoid being alone. So today finally I went to the park on my own and spent some great time with the lover of my soul, Jesus!

God has also been showing me recently how beautiful He has created me to be. “I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made!” -Psalm 139:14

I am beautiful in Gods eyes and that’s really all that matters to me. He loves me for exactly who I am, because that’s how he made me to be. I have definitely gone through many seasons in my life of being insecure about my appearance, lets face it who hasn’t! But once we stop comparing our lives, our appearance, our talents and gifts with others, we learn to discover the incredible confidence we have in our creator. God loves YOU, and thinks YOUR beautiful, YOUR so important to Him that he sacrificed His life on that cross for YOU. Jesus Christ bridged the gap so that we could have this love relationship with our creator.

While spending time at the park, I decided to test out the cool gadgets of my camera, one of them being the ability to control my camera from my phone. The lighting behind me was perfect, and with my phone in hand I could take as many pictures I wanted without moving my camera. So I did, and came out with some pretty cool selfie portraits.
